Close but Far

In big cities, people live side by side — apartments stacked one above the other, trains crowded with strangers, sidewalks buzzing with movement. Yet within this density, there is often a quiet distance: eyes that don’t meet, words that go unsaid, lives that pass each other without touching.

Close but Far is a photographic exploration of this paradox — how loneliness can exist in the most crowded places. Through shadows, empty chairs, blurred reflections, and fleeting human presences, I try to capture the invisible space that lingers between us.

This project is not only about solitude, but also about the fragile beauty of those small moments when connection feels possible, even in a city that keeps us apart. It is a reminder that behind every window, every face in the crowd, there is a story unfolding — near, yet distant. This is an ongoing project.
