About me

My name is Adriano Pontearso, I am a photographer living in Berlin (Born in Geneva - Switzerland). My main focus is street photography but I try to be versatile and mix my photography when I can.

For long time I have been interessted in photography but I never had the courage or chance to buy a real camera. It was always with my mobile phone but I don’t consider it as real photography. It all really began in 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. I got a camera for my birthday. Since this day, I started to walk around and use it always more and more. The motivation grew and it became a real hobby.

I’ve been studying photography in Berlin since 2024, and the journey has already reshaped the way I see and create. When I first began, I was still searching for my direction — , trying, questioning. Over time, my photography has changed, and continues to change, in ways that feel both challenging and rewarding.

Berlin, with its energy and openness, has been the perfect place to grow. Through meeting artists, peers, and mentors, I’ve been able to expand not only my practice but also myself. Every exchange, every collaboration, pushes me further toward finding my own voice and niche.

For me, photography is not just about images — it’s about process, encounters, and transformation. I’m still exploring, still shaping, and still discovering where this path will lead.

In my eyes, I still have a lot to learn. I always like to get different opinions on my work, this was one of the reasons to create this website and share my work with others.
