Mariachi’s

Mariachi is more than music — it is the heartbeat of Mexico, carrying history, identity, and emotion in every note. From plazas to celebrations, from intimate serenades to grand performances, the sound of trumpets, violins, and voices intertwined tells stories of love, loss, joy, and pride.

This ongoing project seeks to capture mariachi not only as performance, but as living tradition. Through my photographs, I follow the gestures, the costumes, the moments before and after the music begins — the tuning of instruments, the shared glances between musicians, the silence that falls just before a song.

Mariachi embodies resilience and belonging, bridging generations and uniting communities. By documenting it visually, I hope to preserve its spirit while showing its evolving role in contemporary Mexico: timeless yet alive, rooted yet always moving forward. This is an ongoing project.
